Default Finally

Got back out doing photography after 16 weeks with a bum foot. Yesterday I tested my recovery with five miles of walking through Loxahatchee and Green Cay. I did not capture anything special, it just felt great getting out again.

those look pretty special to me. Always enjoy your bird shots with the *300, a great lens and you never disappoint when using it.

Glad to hear you are feeling better! look forward to seeing tons more

Same here, Ed.
I'm just starting to feel a little better myself.
In that last one, looks like the spider plans on keeping all that fruit for himself.

For the Great Egrets I had good lighting by having the sun behind me just after sunrise. To maintain detail in white birds I use -2/3 to - 1 exposure compensation, this keeps the highlights from blowing out. I was using aperture priority at F8, ISO 400.

It looks like being laid up hasn't affected your photography skills - I really love the second egret. The way he's got his neck all wrapped up, it looks more like a snake! And your two spider webs are very nice.

Nice to see you back - 5 miles after a 3 month layup is pretty good, but I hope you don't suffer for having overdone it! Nice pictures, as usual.
