Thanks for the compliments! I was a little concerned that perhaps I over-did the processing on the rainbow - it had been really vivid but by the time I switched lenses and shot this, it had started to fade a bit. I added saturation, something I very rarely do, and don't have that good of a feel for it as I do adjusting for exposure (which I do all the time).

Ronny - We have so many days of bright sunshine or grey gloom without rain that seeing rain fall is a nice change. I guess I don't mind rain as I don't remember being frustrated by it when I've been living in other, wetter climates, including a couple of years in Germany.

GW was referring to the song "It Never Rains in Southern California". The lyrics go on to say, "but girl don't they warn ya. It pours, man it pours". Written and sung by Albert Hammond, it was a hit in 1972 (can't believe it was that long ago). It's been recorded by a number of other people over the years, still a good song and so appropriate for L.A.

Beautiful series and the rainbow picture in particular. The colors you captured are brilliant.

Thanks, Vole and Lou!

The unusual weather has continued - I was going to add one more picture taken yesterday, but there's several and I think the others deserve their own thread.

I must have missed this thread before. Yep, how I can attest to the song having lived there for 25 years. I didn't own a coat until we moved to Georgia.

I like the leaf shot and the lilly and first sunset image. Beautiful.
