Thanks for the compliments!

Believe it or not, I was slightly disappointed with the rose picture. The lighting is perfect, the focus is just what I wanted, the water still on the rose and the angle of the flower is everything I could want. Then I go and cut off the very top of the petal - urrr. So close...

Bock - I know what you mean about using photography to re-center yourself. It's one of my escapes, I'm never quite sure if I use photography as an excuse to go hiking or hiking as an excuse to go take pictures. In any case, I always enjoy my forays no matter where they are or how long they take - a 4-6 mile hike to the highest point around or a stroll around my subdivision, they are all so satisfying.
