Default Has anyone tried one of these?

This looks interesting. I was looking for something to protect my LCD screen on my K7, and ran across this. Looks like it may be useful to compose shots also. They sell it in black as well.

I bought it, fits my k7 perfect. So far I love it. No more nose prints on my LCD.

I use one of these on my HS10...

A frame with screen protector mounts to the LCD and then the shade slides
onto it, so you can remove the shade at any time if needed... The shade folds
flat to protect the screen and, like you Tony, I no longer get "Nose Prints"...

I realy like mine...

I was thinking about getting one of those. The frame seems rather wide, and I was wondering if it either cuts down the image size, or overhangs the edge of the LCD? Do you have any problems with it coming off especially while sliding it in or out of a camera bag? My other thought was, is the mechanism reliable? After so many open, and close rounds, does it still remain closed? Looks like those little clips at the edge of the shade can easily snap off? What camera is it mounted on, and how long have you used it. I may still be interested.

I use it on a Fuji HS10...

The image on my LCD is just slightly smaller than the actual glass and the
frame fits the glass just perfect without cutting off any of the image... I've
had it for about 5 months and haven't had any problems at all... It doesn't
seem like it will come off unless i want to take it off and even then I think
it will take some force, along with some isopropyl alcohol... If it did come
off it would be a simple fix to cut some narrow strips of double sided tape
and re-attach...

The side shields are hinged and you just fold them in towards the center
with your finger and thumb when closing... Though it is delicat, there's
nothing that seems like it will break short of dropping the camera, YMMV...

It's really hard to see the image on my screen when in bright sunshine and
the side shields do help somewhat in that respect...I usually use the view
finder and only use the screen for review... The few times I use the screen
for shooting I have no problem seeing the image but I do have a screen that
tilts up and down... If I was in a situation where it made it hard to see the
screen I would just slide it off and put it in my pocket until later...

Others may have different opinions/results... They're not very expensive
so it's not a big loss if someone finds they don't like it... I'm just happy
that I'm no longer constantly wiping "Nose Smear" off of my screen...

Hope that helps...
