The Sandhill Cranes are packing in lots of corn for their trip south!

Gives me a feel of the actual live scene, almost like being there...

Very cool pano. That's a huge number of birds, how long will they hang around or will they be gone in a day or two?

That is the field at the end of my driveway, they will be here until the water freezes and then they will be off until next Spring. The field was just picked so there is lots of corn on the ground for them to eat.

If you look close there is a deer at the edge of the woods about a third of the way in from the left.

I have been watching them for a couple of days now and usually there are more deer there, but to be honest I was just looking at the Cranes when I took the photos.

I didn't have my tripod with me so I just hand held the K20D and guessed at the spacing of the shots. I did the 7 image panorama in CS5 and linked them by hand, which turned out better than I thought it would.

FWIW, the original psd file was 549Mb and 110 inches long!

Would make for a nice print to hang on the wall over a couch or a buffet!

I think wizzard003 says it best. The pano puts you right into the scene.
