Default A few roadsides

Have been very busy with park events, school groups, etc these past few days, so not much time to ramble with camera. But here are a few scenes "along the road."

Was cycling out to a nearby school to share nature education with the children, and noticed this fine little house, so well framed with the last autumnal tints.

On my way to another school to share more nature lessons, past right near Millstone Creek Falls. It's less than 1/4 mile from the road, so I had to stop and "pay my respects" to this fine little waterfall. Here are a few views of the main falls...

Back at the office to prepare October reports when a storm came blowing through. Noticed the sun between the showers, and went out the door to this scene:

Will be busy next few weeks on our annual bicycle repair and give away project, so may not have as much time to stop by here.

Hope you enjoyed these scenes, and thanks for any comments & critique!

Wonderful images and commentary as always, Mole...

Loved the house, is it abandoned...?

Beautiful photos, Mole.
I remember you posted photos of the falls once before.
I'm wondering if its just me or does does the bolder in the foreground remind anybody else of a boars head?

Wizzard - So glad you enjoyed the photos and the "conversation!" This old farmhouse is no longer inhabited, but is used by the present owners as a barn - to store cattle feed & such.

GW - Thanks so much! You're correct, I did post some photos of these falls before, at a time of higher water. Despite being so close to the road, I've only visited these falls once before (maybe it's just too short a hike for me...)

John - So glad you liked the layers of the falls - my photos come nowhere near to capturing the real thing... Indeed there are many places in West Virginia that are reminiscent of the hills of East Tennessee!
