Default My Memory of Summer, thanks to my Pentax K7

Some say that the image quality of the Pentax K-7 is not so great. Well, it sure gave me many memories from last summer.

I don't know why some say that but, I do know that I've seen plenty of great photos captured by the K7 not only from you but, plenty of others.
This one is a good example, Ned!

Any camera has limitations, the trick is to find and exploit it's capabilities. You've certainly done that in this picture, very nice!

Thank you John and Harriet! By the way, you both have been very helpful in helping through some learning curves dealing with post-processing. Thanks again for that. I don't mean to boast but the above photo looks very sharp... yeah the origianl is bette overall but I think this is pretty good IMHO. Again, thanks for your comments and previous helps! Ned

Oh, one more thing... it was Pentax that said the following about image quatlity:

"What's new since the K-7
The K-7 suffered from arguably sub-par image quality due to it's relatively old sensor; however, the K-5 makes up by delivering best-in-class sensor performance."

Great picture Ned,

I don't understand why someone would say the image quality of the k-7 wouldn't be great, unless you want to push the sales for the K5.

I got both the k20 and the K5 and I don't think (if resized properly) I could tell the difference between shots taken with the k20 or k5 on the same day if you wouldn't go above iso800.

Just let them talk I like the shot (and its quality)

Ronny

Right, it isn't. Well, they are not Pentax, but what does it say when a Pentax Forum speaks for Pentax?

That's just an individual's opinion Ned, no company would never come out and say something like that about one of their cameras neither past nor present.

The K5 does have a better sensor for low light conditions and extended dynamic range - however under normal daylight conditions I'm guessing it would be difficult if not impossible to tell the difference between a shot taken with a K5 and one taken with a K7, K20, K10, Kr, Kx or Km ! Especially in the hands of some members of this forum - it's not the camera so much as the operator.

Lovely shot BTW ! Maybe add a touch more contrast ?
