I've been away from the Internet for a while, so I'm chiming in late. I love the diagonal ridge lines in the first photo, and the blown out sky doesn't bother me -- in fact I didn't even notice it until I read Patty's comment. I definitely like the last photo. It has a stark feel that really appeals to me.

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback on these pictures, especially the last one. I'll continue to play around with the process I used to see if I can improve on the process and perhaps find a better subject for it. Perhaps I can come up with something that's not quite so polarizing.

Well, I still think the last one was fanstastic! If I were a writer, I would use as an illustration in a heart-beat. Its a good photo!
