Default Grey Day on The Bund

My wife and I joined friends for Sunday Brunch in a lovely restaurant on The Bund, called M on the Bund. Of course as always I had my camera with me and after coffee I excused myself and wandered out onto the balcony that looks out and over The Bund itself and the Huang Pu River to the financial district of Lu Jia Zui. Primarily I wanted to see if the 43 Ltd lent itself to landscapes and what sort of resolution & detail I could pick out from those shots (absolutely amazing - I'll post some 100% crops later). Pity the weather was poor - very overcast and misty, but anyway here's what I got.

First shot is with the 10-20 and the rest with the 43 Ltd.

the muted tones really set a nice mood here. it is difficult to pull of a grey day cityscape, but these turned out really really nice. really enjoyed them all, especially the first 2.

Hards - thank you very much for your comments. I wasn't sure about posting these as I wasn't sure other people would like the Grey Day feel to them.

Thank you Les. I love Shanghai, it has it's cons but so many more pros - and it's incredibly photogenic !

Thank you Patty ! I didn't think they were that good but so glad you like them.

These are some 100% crops from the 43 Ltd originals above. There is a huge difference to those from the 10-20 (last one below).

Lovely gray mood, and lovingly captured. I usually try to avoid that much gray sky in a photo, but it sure worked well for you in these!

These are quite nice for a dull day...!

I like seeing images from other parts of the world that I'll probably never get to
see in person, thanks for sharing these...
