Default Winter Wildlife

Afew snaps of little garden type birds out in the snow, all been cropped some quite heavily since with it snowing on and off only been going out with my DA* 60-250mm instead of sigma 150-500mm, anyway first one is my clear favourite and also the least cropped

Pentax-DA 12-24mm f4 | Pentax-DA* 16-50mm f2.8 | Pentax-A 50mm f1.4 | Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro | Pentax-DA* 60-250mm f4 | Sigma 150-500mm

Great photos, JP!
The leaves in the last shot look like a tree a dear friend of mine had in her yard.
When the leaves would turn brown and fall off it was quite a mess, and they were very sharp. Hurt like the dickens when you had to pick them up!

Life's a breeze on a Goldwing...

Three great shots ...... I know you just missed focus on the last (or maybe movement blur) but the framing is brilliant and I like that the best. I wonder if the InFocus software from Topaz everyone is trying could bring the bird into focus ?

I can see why the first one is your favorite, it's mine too. And can see why you posted the third one, it would have been my clear favorite if the focus had been perfect. The second one is probably the best at saying "poor little freezing me" though - that bird looks so cold.

Great photos! You need to give them a GPS to get South for the Winter.

Some really fine color and excellent composition on all of these. The first is clearly the sharpest, but there is something about the mood & lines of 2 & 3 that really capture my attention!

that first bird looks all fluffed up to keep warm
what is the last bird, that is one beautifully marked bird
whats the chances of you trying again with it
