Default Kx is Too Good

I keep trying to justify getting the K5, but this darn Kx just won't let me. Shot in low light club with RAW, ISO 6400 with Vivitar 24mm f2.8.

that's the reason I didn't get the Kx when it appeared.

I guessed that the next K would have the image quality of the Kx in a K7 body, (and maybe some more pixels - what really doesn't matter)

Great low light shot.

Hehe, yes. Stable color reproduction across the ISO range coupled with usable ISO3200 and ISO6400 makes the K-x a nice low light camera.

With the current cash-back for a K-r kit (body+Pentax lens) the K-r comes quite close to the K-x and has the edge in the bang-for-the-buck fight, though. If there would have been a more aggressive sale (talking about the price) on K-x bodies I would have jumped the K-x bandwagon, too.

Great shot, saturation is a bit on the strong side on my monitor.

Regards,
Th.

Night club lighting is the most difficult to get the saturation and a lot of other factors right. Thank goodness for RAW, but there are still trade offs.
