Default Instant JPEG From Raw

I had a request on another thread for information I posted a couple of years back. I was shooting Raw + jpeg to avoid loosing data. After getting the program Instant jpeg from Raw I have been shooting Raw only. This program will extract the jpeg photo imbeded in the Raw data and place it in a folder with the Raw images. 100 images takes less then 20 seconds. I an not sure what PEF Raw Pentax cameras it will work for, I have been using DNG Raw and it works Great! The program is free, you are required to register to download the program. They Now Offer A 64 Bit version.

Hmm - thanks for the link but it says although it works with early OSX versions it doesn't work with Snow Leopard.

Thanks for the link. I only shoot RAW nowadays but based on the time it takes me to do the PP, this could be a very useful tool.

Thanks, Ed. I'm pretty sure this is one of the ones I downloaded, but cannot find it on my laptop anywhere. I think the other one was from Roy. I'd forgotten about it until you mentioned it in the other thread. I was using it quite regularly there for a while. No idea why I can't find it on the laptop now. The desktop has been replaced since then.

On my PC I select the Raw images on my screen, hold control key and right click with my mouse and a menue comes up with instant jpeg from raw as an option.

I had tried different variations of that to see if maybe it was really there. But, nothing worked. Now I can just select images, right click with mouse and it's there. No need for control key. (I have a PC.)

Hi,
I wouldn't be without this great little program, I've used it for a while now ... since I shoot with the K100D which can only save shots as RAW or .jpg, but not both. It works flawlessly and extracts the .jpg files pretty fast. ... Jack

Its a great tool!
I used it for about a year and I wouldn't be without it if I had a choice.
Unfortunately it only works with 32 bit OS and I'm using 64 bit now.
