The lighting on the flag is wonderful!

Patty - I have a soft spot for abstracts, so I like yours. A glass vase?

I agree.

Not a vase, but my glass ball hanging in my bay window. I wish the sun shone in that window to get it with it backlit. But, wrong direction.

Almost too late to enter - have been busy with Christmas & family (as well as repairing trails after the ice storms...) but would like to submit this dusk photo to the contest. Hope it fits the topic well enough....

It fits as far as I'm concerned - you used the light effectively to say "dusk/sunset". It's a beautiful picture besides.

It's still New Year's Eve where I am, so you still have some time to get any last minute shots in. I'll close it out when it's tomorrow noon, my time. That should make it January 1st everywhere.

Well, it's New Years, a bit later than I said for the voting to begin. I'll leave the voting open until the 5th and announce next month's host on the 6th. I'm going to hold my vote in case it looks like there's a tie. Anyone want to start?

Ira's picture gets my vote this month. Simple, colorful and warm!
