Wizzard - Thanks so much! These cold, almost-winter days are great for seeking out the details...

Pboerger - We had another great sunrise this AM, but have not had time to download & sort the photos yet. It's been a very cold (high temps about 20-30 degrees below average) week - good for bright sunrises!

Kevin - Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed them!

Ronny - Glad you liked the bits of color on this grey day!

Patty - It's been a great year for fungus "among-us" - much damper autumn than usual.

GW - Thanks!!

Great series, as usual with you. The sunrise was incredible! Yucca pods are often fun to photograph. Since you've been having so much cold, I won't mention that they are talking about 80's F around SoCal this weekend...

Great stuff as always. Love them all, especially the empty seed pods.

Some fantastic shots as usual. However, as a fan of sunrise/set and reflections in water, can I just say those are exceptional photos.

BTW what's an ultrapod?

Hans - Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed some almost-winter color...

Harriet - Thanks for your kind words. I don't mind the cold at all, actually prefer it to the heat - but any weather is good for outdoors!

John - Thanks! I need to spend more time looking at all the ripe and emptying pods of the season.

Keith - You are too kind!
PS - Ultrapod is a little folding table tripod. Ronny posted some great photos with a similar 'pod, which reminded me to dig mine out and test it... Here is a link to his thread:

and here is a link to a description of the ultrapod:

Vole - Thanks as always for your kind and specific comments!

Stunning sunrise - my problem is that there are always rooftops in the way! And as for the invasive species, these have the redeeming quality of providing sustenance for our little feathered friends. As always, great pics.
