Default The nights are pulling in

We currently have a little over 5 hours of when the sun is up here in central Finland. This photo was taken around 2:20 p.m. It is still getting darker, but look on the bright side... a little over a week from now and it will always be getting brighter!

Beautiful light on the snow! And no blown highlights - you are getting to be an expert at snow photography!!

Many thanks Mole for your kind comment. Very pleased indeed that you like it. But man is it cold, and it is going to be cold for a entire week. All the best. Ned

Lovely picture, so evocative and so very different from what we see here in Belize.

Hey, haven't seen the sun in almost two weeks and the temperature is currently -34C with -40C windchill so I know what you mean.

Very pretty color on the snow - love the picture. While I could deal with your cold, Ira's situation is well beyond what I'd want to experience. I think it's too cold when it gets into the single digits F/around -15 C. And right now I'm not so sure about 0 C/32 F since it's been relatively warm recently and I haven't yet gotten used to winter.

I wouldn't mind changing with you if those 5 hours had enough sun in them. This week has been gray and it's even getting grayer.

Great picture, as Mole said you are getting great in these shots.
