This guy was laying on the island where I was photographing the Great Blue Heron Nests.

Love the reflection, a neat shot. Makes me want to visit Florida just to take pictures - wonder if I could convince my other half to go and rent 2 cars - he could go to the amusement parks and I could go to the nature preserves and take pictures?

Wow, that's a great shot Ed. Reminds me of a canoe trip my brother and I took in Jonathan Dickinson State Park back in the 1980s. We had been warned to be careful for gators, but after 2 hours of paddling, hadn't seen any. We started thinking the ranger who warned us was exaggerating just to get a reaction from some northerners (no offense intended, Mole!) Then we came around a bend, and saw a huge gator (well, huge to us anyway -- about 15 feet long). He slipped off the river bank, started swimming in our general direction, then vanished under the surface of the water. At that moment we started paddling a lot faster!

Great clarity & wonderful capture of the "critter" and reflection!

PS to MtMan - no offense taken - we rangers "never" exaggerate!
