Pen,
Enjoyed the photos. Looks like you got yourself a keeper in that lens. The guy behind it has a good eye.

Hi penolta,

Very nice series!!!

That lens looks to be a very good performer indeed!

I like them all. With the exception of the Great Egret and the Song Sparrow, I don't get to see these guys. You west coast and Southern State guys get all the breaks when it comes to birds. . .but we northern Midwesterners get to ice fish and make snowmen. . . hah!

Nice shots. And, some interesting birds I've never seen before. The egret and sparrow are the only ones I recognize.

Great series and shots, if they where any sharper you could cut paper with them.

Looks like the lens is a great acquisition.

Thanks Stevie, Scott, Patty and Ronny. The lens and I won't be getting out again for awhile - it has been raining nearly nonstop for 3 days now and is predicted to continue that way to near the end of the week - we will also miss the eclipse tomorrow night because the sky will still be obscured.

Can't believe it's as wet as it is here in the desert - very unusual for this week. We need the rain, but all my outdoor plans have gone on hold.

I sent you a PM Penolta, you're the first person I have found who has verified the existence of the OS version, wanted to know where you picked it up!

I got mine at a discount directly from Sigma as a tredein/tradeup for a discontinued and "no longer serviced" 135-400 that I tried to get them to service.
