you think pentax/users are trying to orchestrate a win here lol? now i know they are good cameras but i would have expected nikon and canon to be winning by large margin simply from owners of said cameras to vote for what they bought

Other camera manufacturers and owners could do the same thing. Pentax does seem to have an extremely loyal and active owner base.

What I find interesting is that quite a few people seem to be voting for cameras that have been out for a while. To me, a "Camera of the Year" is something that was introduced in a given year. And by that interpretation, Pentax has had a fantastic 2010, during which it brought out at least three excellent, high-profile cameras and even a few new lenses. And, yes, I voted.
