Default First pics with "New" K20D

Enjoy, Happy Holidays.

First image (of Annette) was taken with the FA 35mm AL and no flash. The rest were with the AF-540FGZ flash.

Whew - all looks pretty good. Are those your boys? Looks like a good old-fashioned Christmas tree decorating evening, always love that time.

This was taken with Annette's K100D Super (so it is technically off topic), the Sigma 24-135mm f2.8-4.5 zoom and the Pentax AF-540FGZ flash. (A very inexperienced photographer meant a focus error but that isn't the point here is it. Happy Holidays from all of us to all of you)

Thanks Harriet.

Matt, the oldest, is in images two and three, Justin, the middle, in image four and Stephen, the youngest, in the last image.

Got home yesterday after about 17 hours of flying and 36 hours of no sleep, it was great!!!

Pah, when I try to refocus your last image I almost instantly get artefacts, I am really sorry, I would really like to see that image in focus, darnit!

Christmas tree decoration is my plan today. School holidays started and I'm at home with my daughter so depending on the time she gets up we'll start before or after lunch.

Congratz to your "new" camera and it's good to know, that you are back safe.

Th.

That's some trip, and all in the same (vast, beautiful) country. You'd think it was a trip from the end of the world - oh wait, that IS the end of the world (or just about). Glad you got home safely, and what a great family picture (oof and all!).

P.S. Hope you get to see some sun - ours has been on the liquid side since Saturday.

We have high winds and driving rain here, seems Newfoundland and England has switched weather. As for Tuk, Santa Clause lives just South of there

Great pix...good looking family, enjoy your Xmas. I'm sure it's nice to be home with all.
Looks like your K20D is working out well.

My biggest enjoyment with the K20 so far is that I can now reclaim my FA 35mm f2.0 AL lens, it works really well on the K20 but would not focus properly on the K10 (can`t remember, I think it was a front focus problem). I already posted that I ordered a new DA L 35mm f2.4 for Annette since she really got attached to the FA 35. It is due to arrive on the 29th so hopefully I will have a chance to try it out and report on it before I head back to Tuk.

How about a watercolour version of the out-of-focus shot

Flight to Hong Kong (12 hours time zone difference) happens to be 15 hours only. You likely had a couple of connecting flights (3 hours time zone difference I believe) . Anyway you are home which is what counts.
