I like them all. That first picture..is that the steep road going out of Minnedosa...that hoar frost, the contrasting brown building, the steep road perspective...great angle.

If it's the road I think it is...I wouldn't want to try to stop...going down that road on black ice.

Also the pictures of the Red Fox amidst the snow and hoar frost....again great contrast.

It looks like the town's sledding hill in the first image. Everything does look so white and peaceful - and COLD....

I do have to agree with Dawg that the fox is beautiful.

However, it looks just waaaaay toooooo COLD....

although I do feel the need for some

Les and IE..that is actually the cemetery hill road as you head east out of town.Atop of it there is a wonderful view of the lake and the valley. It's a gravel road so never a worry of black ice...The fox was a bonus..after the cemetery I headed out to Clanwilliam (small village a few miles north) when I saw it running along the abandoned railway..he crossed in front of me,darted into the bush and when I turned the corner there he was..resting at his den. I do have to admit I knew there was a den in that part of Clan..but I just lucked out that he/she showed up and offered me the chance to take a photograph.

Yes..the fox was very cooperative....I don't know how friendly but the den is in the village and people come and watch the kits play in the spring from about where I was. There's a den a couple miles out of town here in the ditch on the highway..every year we go out and watch the new batch of babies playing around.Unfortunately last year the parents got killed so Natural Resources came out and trapped the young ones and took them to a wildlife rehab. So I don't know if there will be any this spring..but another mother may have taken over the den so we will wait and see.A couple years ago there was a family of foxes inside the bison enclosure so you could watch them like from 20 feet away thru the fence..as long the big bull wasn't around..
