Default Heading back to Tuk

I won't be back here at the forum until Tuesday so Happy New Year everyone.

I am leaving the K20 home here since luggage weight is an issue and I didn't want to have the stress of carrying my new toy through the many ups and downs of this trip so K10 images will still be the norm.

I just ordered the DA 50-200mm WR lens so that I am better equipped for the outside, hopefully I will have some new images soon.

Best wishes everyone, I will be back in the new year.

Happy New Year. Are you going to be in Tuk till the summer, or will you have the opportunity to fly back to NL during Easter ?

Have a safe trip. Hope all works out well, I can understand not taking the K20. I honestly don't remember if my old 50-200 still worked when I still had the K10 or what it was like on it.

Out of curiosity, did you think the K20 tended to underexpose? I used to keep mine set to Ev +.3 most of the time. You'll have a chance to figure it out better this summer. In the meantime, enjoy the K10.

They don't do an Easter break, but I have meetings in Edmonton in March and Annette is coming up. I also have a one week break in May when we may try for a brief trip somewhere.

I have noticed that it needs a slight bit of +av. The reason for leaving it home is the rather long trip with so many flight changes and not needing both cameras while in Tuk.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Harriet, I've had mine set at on the + side all the time. I can't remember if at .3 or .5. I think it's .3, though. Hmmm, the data in my images is saying +1 Exposure Compensation. I'm not sure.

Anyway, it is set and I still have to adjust some images beyond that at times.

Ira - Hope your trip back to Tuk is uneventful. March will be here before you know it.

Patty

Been away for several days, so I'm responding late. Safe travels, and congrats on what I assume was your photo as POTD several days ago!
