Great shots, nice sharpness, much better that I would have expected after reading up on mirror lenses

Thank you Hans. It is a much sharper lens than I believed it would be, after reading all the bad reviews from owners and users. I really do not think they really got the focus right. The DOF is almost as thin as a macro lens and the f/8 aperture does some strange things to the bokeh if you do not compose the photos in such a way as to minimize the doughnuts and worms caused by the lens configuration. As with anything it does take time and practice to get those right.

i like 4 and 5 with cardinal well separated from the background
they all have nice sharp birds, but i am not keen on the out of focus areas in some parts of the others
but you are getting great results

i maybe over your way in April, how about i pick the lens up then
and next time you are over my way i will give it you back???
