if you don't want to to go out, try some indoor photography!

- Could be macro stuff or
- a "self-made-studio experiment" where you try to work with light and composition. Themes: food, collectors items etc.
- Architecture: visit some local churches or similar buildings, try the wide angle side of life, maybe add in some HDR here
- indoor sports: you always wanted some pictures of your local sports team, your kids etc.
- concerts, theatre performances

Also: you don't get that eye-popping scenery? Well... STILL try to take photographs. Hint: that isn't as easy as it looks on paper, especially the absence of some blue sky (I wouldn't mind some clouds, just not EVERYTHING covered in rain/snow-clouds) is a challenge...
Either show how dull/melancholic things look OR try some black and white images maybe?

Clear sky? What about astronomy photos? You don't need much color for that.

Of course there is always the boring/painful job of sorting old photos, clean your harddisk (which means actually to press the delete button more than you wanted). Then why not browse old images and do something with those? There were the times, where you wished for more time to postprocess, throw a photobook together etc. - can you remember? Why not do it now?

Hope this will get you some ideas...
