Looks like a great hike, and there's a lot more snow than I imagine is typical int he southern Appalachians. I really like the shots of the riffles and falls. I suspect you could bring out the midtones with a simple levels adjustment. (My image editing software doesn't have curves, but I'm told that Curves is an even better tool for this type of adjustment.)

Very nice shots! Love the dogs, they look like they were having a great time. As far as your little riffles, I thought the first one not as good quality as the other two. I love the second one but the third one is quite charming also. Well done on the whole series, actually. Wish I could have gone with you, it looks like you had a great time.

Wow, really different than when Linda and I were there last!
I can recognize the falls only because of the unique rock formation.
Great shots, all of them.

Another fine & frozen day! Should I tell everyone who it was that fell in the creek?

The sunlit photos are all excellent - captured the delicacy of the snow without losing the details.

Maybe it's just this monitor, but a lot of the shaded photos (riffles & falls) look a little dark to me. Probably more a matter of personal taste than anything else...

PS - Since Vole posted some pics of mole & dogs, my ugly face may have caused your monitor to experience "technical difficulties." So here are some pictures to fix your monitor problems. A photo of vole working to get the best angle on the riffle, and of the dog (not my dog, her sister's dog) that caused her to fall in the creek!
