Default Storm approaching

These are from yesterday when the storm was just talk. I was on my way home from radiation and looking out the car window to the right I saw pretty blue sky. Looking out to the left I saw this ominous cloud coming our way. I found a high spot up by the county nursing home and jail to capture the skies.

The first is facing directly into the clouds. Sorry for the blown out spots in the upper right. The clouds were moving so fast I didn't want to play around too much. The shots following are moving to the left. To the last image which was directly behind where the first shot was taken where I had parked.

By the time I got back to my car and drove around the back of the nursing home to the top of the hill in the road image, the sky was completely covered by the cloud.

Today I'm sitting indoors. Didn't go to radiation because my plow guy didn't show up until 9:30 to move the 10" at the time of snow in our long driveway. My hubby had left much earlier in his Subaru, but my Maxima is much closer to the ground and would have bottomed out.

I'll post some pictures of today's snow in another post.

Can't wait to see the snow, Patty.
Only to help me feel better because, I don't have to deal with it!

We have a cold front coming through right now but, thankfully no snow.
Supposed to be back up in the 70's this weekend.

Life's a breeze on a Goldwing...

Does look like the leading edge of a front starting to come in. Isn't it fascinating how quickly they can move in? Nice pictures. Somehow I'm not surprised that the Maxima wouldn't make it through - our Honda Fit would just sit there and shiver, refusing to move. It's replacement is going to be a Subaru.

The calm before the proverbial storm. Nice series!

Nice set, I always gives a strange feeling seeing great weather on one side and then ... the other side.
