Default More native costumes frome the Pow Wow

The variety in this shot made me chuckle.

On the side line getting ready for the judging.

Just a guess but, I think this is what's known as "Irish Indian"

I couldn't help but wonder if he got points knocked off for the sunglasses.

Some just walked around the field, others got into the drum beat.

This guy was just sunning himself along the bank of a pond on the property near where we parked the car. He didn't seem to mind all the activity. After all, he is a native.

Next up, some buffalo...

LOL! Interesting costumes - how many are accurate and how many are interpretations? Either way, there are some really nice ones.

Years ago I went to a wonderful Pow Wow...took some wonderful pictures of the dancers, these were REAL dancers and drummers. Except for one minor detail, wrong end of the aperture...oops...film of course, and had it closed down to 16 on ISO 400 film on a sunny day. too much depth of field. Sigh. Yours are Great though. Especially that last costume, alligator skin, isn't it?

Hey, Lisa.
Sounds like you have some of those days like I do!
Yeah, the last one is genuine alligator, from what I understand, he's had it all his life.

Harriet, from what I was told the majority of the costumes where authentic but, not all. The people that get into this to the point of having the flashy costumes keep them authentic.

Thank you, Ronny.
The 50mm 1.7 does a great job with color and the DA12-24mm does pretty good too.
