Default Long time no see (again)

Hi guys

Still not gone through the rest of my Japan and Lebanon photo's, but went to Cardiff a few times this week and took some photo's I thought I would share.

Hope you enjoy them, kind of been a dry few months without any bugs to shoot, so thought I would try a few different things.

No.3 is a fantastic shot...great perspective, perfectly symmetrical nice color composition, and nice sharp detail. I'm interested to know how you framed that shot and what mm lens you used: that's a lot of real estate in that frame. Also, where was this shot taken?

Thanks!

That was with the kit 18-55 WR lens, just framed it by leaning back and crouching a bit against the wall.

This was taken in the "Arab Room" in Cardiff Castle (Wales)

Thanks both!

It's nice to take photo's of something different (for me) and for people to enjoy them.

Great shots particularly #3. I love the perspective you got by crouching.

I just got a WR 18-55 but only did a little bit of testing with it today to be sure that it was focusing correctly.

Thank you Lou and Sarah!

The 18-55WR is pretty damn good, slightly better than the kit one I had for my K10D, but you can't escape how slow it is, that ceiling shot was taken half a dozen times before I could get one sharp enough as the light was pretty bad. And then I had to clean it up a bit as well, I think that was ISO800 and 1/30 F/3.5

A fine lens in some great hands! #3 is definitely something special - but I also really enjoyed your skilled work on the frost crystals, and the unique perspective of fungus on wood...
