Photoshopped rowboat
I liked this picture a lot when I took it, but I wanted to have some sort of interesting effect so I could frame it and put it in my hallway. I'm still learning how to post-process...

I kinda like it!! it stands out and it is intressting!
One suggestion though, perhaps you should sharpen up the boat a little more (or make the background a little fuzzier so that the boat stands out even more...

otherwize it is a nice picture!

Thanks, I'll try to do that!

I kinda like it too, Eddie. :cool2:

I like the composition a lot. I like the Gaussian blur in the water but find the blue blur on the dock wood a little distracting causing my eye to move away from the subject. I agree with CyberTron that sharpening the boat would help.

Thank you guys so much. I agree, but I am still figuring photoshop out (only had it 4 days). Also, in all honestly, I never had figured out much (which is what I used until 4 days ago)... If any of you have the inclination to try, here's the unedited version! Once again, thank you for the feedback. I really respect the opinions here!

No offense intended. However, my eyes do not like photo editing that makes your image look unnatural. Do my eyes your "photshopped" image has begun to cross over into the "unnatural" category. But that is just me.

We have to understand that photo editing is subjective, and sort of an art form. So my opinion may indeed may not be the opinion of the next viewer. Do your photo editing to please your eyes.

idk if this works or not but i tried

Sarah, I can totally understand that. I only went a little "over the top" because it looked good to me in a frame on the wall. Kind of like a cross between a photo and a painting. There is absolutely no offense taken. Everyone here is so great with the constructive criticism and I totally appreciate it and value all of your opinions.

Thanks, zombz. I think the boat may be a little "too" sharp in comparison to the rest. I might be able to use yours to achieve what I want though!
