Default Quick trip to Laurel Run

Had a few spare moments for a quick trip up to Laurel Run recently. Have posted photos of Laurel Run here many (too many??) times before, but it's a place that always holds new discoveries to share...

Only had time for a quick run up to the first waterfall - pausing briefly to notice the richness of moss & lichen life along the way.

Recent snowmelt has also been good for the more cold-tolerant fungi...

Was surprised that almost all the ice is out of the lower falls, and that water levels were not higher with the melting...

(any preferences among these views?)

Will wait for a bit higher water levels (and more time) to go back and check out the upper falls.

Hope you enjoyed this quick trip up Laurel Run, and will share your comments, suggestions & critique!

That sunrise/sunset picture is outstanding! I like both the vertical and the first waterfall, but all are very good.

My favourite is the last (sunset ?) ..... great shot, but it looks a little noisy so I'm thinking it was taken on high ISO and not a long exposure ?
