Default What the heck is it!?

I bought a grab bag of of photo stuff on ebay the other day and this item came with it.
I have no idea what it is, or could be. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is? When its unbuckled, it lays out flat and turns into somewhat of a box shape when you fold it up and snap the buckles together. At first I thought it was some kind of cover for a flash head but its way to big. This one has me stumped. Help me out guys!

Here it is flat. The straps are elastic.

The back side...

A look inside...

You're a big help, Les.
Remind to give you a smack upside the head if we ever meet!

Well Shucks...I was gonna say the same thing. Looks like you are gonna be smacking multiple heads

It could be some kind of insert for a camera bag that found it's way into the grab bag.

Hi GW,

It looked recently made, so I googled it, and came up with this:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Mini_Hood.html

It looks like the base part only, and is for pro type video cams.

I'm glad Scott came up with a reasonable answer, because I had no clue!

Hey Scott, Thanks!
Yep, that's what it is. It would be easy enough to make the missing part if I had a need for it but, can't think of what I could use it for. Oh well, at least I can sleep tonight now that I know what it is.
