Default Small DIY project

As some of you may remember I use a BlackRapid strap for my camera. http://forums.steves-digicams.com/pe...era-strap.html But this leaves the camera with no strap when I disconnect from the BlackRapid. I had an extra Pentax strap so I cut it and modified it as a wrist strap. It isn't easy sewing a quality camera strap.

Sorry about the poor quality images.

Very nice. I assume you hand sewed it with an awl, since I'm guessing you'd need a very powerful commercial grade sewing machine to go through the straps.

Hand sewn with a needle and a magazine to push it with.

Nice little project, Ira.
I took my camera strap off because it got in the way when ever I wanted to use the tripod or my cotton carrier. but I did put a keyring on the left side of the body where the strap would go and that lets me clip a safety strap to it when I need to.

Now there is a thought, a keyring in the left side and my strap on the right would mean that I wouldn't need to use the tripod mounting point at all! I will try that, if I can find a strong keyring small enough to fit.

Thanks

Addendum: Job done, a large brass keyring and a small length of strap (sewn so that it cannot slip), see the pictures below.
