Default The Road not taken

We have had wicked white outs this way..then to top it off it rained.I took these just right after sunrise one morn after the wind..the patterns in the snow caused by the wind and the early morning light on them looked kind of neat.

Glorious lighting! Composition on #2 is top class. Love the road signs on #1.

I concur, love the irony of the first image and the quality of the second.

The road not taken...except maybe by snowcat or snowmobile.

Like the drifting snow and the snowdrifts on the prairies. Great pictures....I'm retired so I don't get to see the early morning light....do see the setting sun, though...lighting at that time is nice too.

Wow, an excellent series. I agree -- the irony of #1 is very humorous; the composition and lighting of #2 are fabulous.

Thanks for the kind words!..After 3 days of cloud and wind it was sure nice to see the sun again (even that early in the morning!) I love the early morning light..yellowish in the east and sort of rosy on the snow in the east.I always hope I can catch it's beauty because it changes so fast.We went from -40 windchill to a 0 C temp in less than 24 hrs..so I actually was able to leave the heat of my work van to snap a few..lol.

You would not want to go there, even with 4WD. Excellent photos.
