Default Flagrant Image Manipulation, but I like the result

While I was preparing my entry for the January monthly challenge, I commented to my wife that I was disappointed that the moon was so far above Mount Moosilauke, and that it would have made a much better image had the moon been lower in the sky. "Well," she said, "Why not just move it where you want it? And while you're at it, the photo would also be improved if the moon were bigger."

So, here's the result. This is no longer a photograph; it's a photo illustration. But from an aesthetic point of view, I think it looks better than the "real" image. If anyone wants to compare, the original is on page 4 of the January monthly challenge thread.

It looks good to me, though I would like to see part of that dark foreground removed.

It looks very nice. I agree with you. I'm not one to want to manipulate a photo to not be what it was. I know others may not know, but I know.
