Default Lighting test

Just for the fun of it I thought I'd make some comparative shots in my makeshift studio, to see how different tungsten and fluorescent lighting would be. The first one is taken with the 900 watt softbox I built, on the right, plus a 300 watt soft flood on the left. (fluorescent)

The second one is with the tungsten "Dynaphos" softboxes, 500 watt on left and 1000 watt right.

I'm not sure what's going on with these, for some reason they look out of focus at this size. even when I view them on my monitor through photoshop. However, if I view them at full resolution, they look sharp.
Oh well, aside from that, how do you like the lighting?

It would depend on how true to color the gray is, but, I would predict the top one is more so...least to what I recall my dads instrument cases came with...they were all darker gray foam. Only the instruments were not digital...old school. Yeah, resizing them makes them fuzzy...
I do notice the photos were taken at a different angle also, would be better if at same angle...

You passed the test Lisa!
I was just checking to see if anyone was paying attention.

Actually, I wasn't paying attention myself.
I'll have to go back and see if I have one that was taken at the same angle. Thank you for pointing that out.
You're right, the first one is closer to what it looks like. I don't think it was the lights fault other than the angle itself , it caught the reflection differently.
