Shooting at the marina today trying to improve my results with my Tamron 70-300

They're all very nice, but #2 is my favorite. Great timing on that one!

A nice series - Egrets are hard birds to photograph and these look very nice. I do like 1 and 2 together, the intense look in 1 with lift-off in 2. Lovely feather detail in 2 also.

Looks like you are mastering the lens, as well as the timing. All are really nice photos with excellent capture of the details and the action. Especially nice light on #1.

Thanks all for the comments, Your past helpful suggestions have gotten me this far. I got lucky with the first 2 shots, a fisherman was cleaning fish and the Egret really wanted some of the spoils. The birds in the area seem to be used to people.
