Default Chinese Bridge

Taken after a shoot in the Shanghai Botanical Garden, at the end of the day on the way out of the park. Which one (if any) do you prefer ?

I like the framing and sky on the second and the lighting of the bridge and rocks on the last one. I hope you don't mind I did a little edit

I like #2 best, Kevin. #1 seems too dark.

A bit too dark for my liking Kevin. I think an early morning shot when the water is sstill would provide for a nice reflection and some great morning light. Just my $0.02 worth!

Thank you for all your comments guys (and gals) !

Nice job Hans !!

These were taken in Raw but I was going for semi-silhouttes (my dark side showing through) so don't really want to lighten these - however I realise that may not be to everyone's taste.

I think I need to crop the right hand side off of #2 - although I'm not sure if that will affect the balance of the shot - we'll see. And I will also crop a little water off the bottom of #3 - which has been a criticism on other boards, and then re-submit these two to see if anyone feels they have improved !

Jehan - I'm afraid they won't open the Botanical Gardens early enough for me to get the sunrise / early a.m. shots

I have to agree with the others -- #2 is my favorite.

Thanks mtnman !

I have played around with these a little more but if I crop the right hand side of #2 it definitely doesn't look right, it's unbalanced. As for #3 I think it works with the crop (up to the 'mouth in the face' - I'm sure you can find it ! - on the right hand side) and without - because of the full reflection of the trees I was trying to obtain.

Great mood in all of these. #3 my favorite for the larger expanse of water, #2 a close second. #1 maybe a bit too tight a composition, but still great color and mood.
