Hi BB,

Thanks for the heads up!

I was aware of the rumors of an upcoming FW update, but didn't know it was up.

The only "problem" I've had with my K-5 in the area of focusing was that it was very slightly erratic with my FA50/1.4 at very low light levels wide open -- it would only lock dead accurately maybe 1 of 3 tries. Not my most used lens nor my primary intended use of the camera, so it really wasn't a deal breaker since I could still use the lens slightly stopped down (which always had been my practice anyway). All of my most used lenses focused fine, BTW --including my F 50/1.7, so I just put the 50/1.4 aside since the 1/2 stop was easily compensated for (and more) with the ability to shoot at higher ISO.

FYI, after installing fw 1.03, the FA50/1.4 focuses spot on, every time in exactly the same light levels where it previously had a problem. I'd say they tweaked the algorithms a bit -- nicely done. . .

I've installed the firmware and will check it tonight when I'm in the only spot I've ever noticed focusing issues (that weren't lens related). Thanks for posting the link!
