Here is what was stolen, I even had his name embroidered on the bag (which was originally a gift from my mother).

Hi Ira,
I'm bored too, haven't shot much in a while. here's my most common walkabout kit ...
Bag is the Lowepro Nova 2 AW, on camera lens is the Tamron 471D 28 -200mm AF, depending on the shooting venue, this interchanges with the Tamron 70 - 300mm AF, Lenses left to right are the Zenitar 16mm fisheye, Pentax SMC-A 50/1.7, and the Cosina 100mm 3.5 Macro + it's matching supplementary lens that gives 1:1 close-ups. This satisfys most of my needs. ... Jack

Thanks Jack, hopefully others will post pictures of their kit here. The design of the Nova 2 bag has certainly changed over the years, mine was a mid 1990s model, the snaps on the flap were for a film carrier!

Here is one shot with the DL and the FA 28-105mm at ISO 1600, pretty much as it came from the camera (other than converting the RAW file). I love this combination for its light weight, excellent IQ and the "stealth" look that comes with a small silver coloured camera and lens. it was his first birthday by the way.

Default Stealth bag

My bookbag, inside an insulated lunch bag (free give-away from one of my wife's business trips), inside that my DL with the FA 28-105mm f3.2-4.5 AL (IF) lens. A well insulated, fairly shock and weather resistant package that doesn't advertise its contents.

LOL! Reminds me of the person who used a diaper bag and put closed cell foam dividers to protect his stuff. Who wants to steal a diaper bag?

Great photo of the birthday boy!

Some really interesting variations on the camera bag.

Will have to try to photograph my backpack full of "camera stuff" sometime and add it here...

I'll play. The kit on the right is the Kx with the Tamron 18-250, that lives on the camera. The primes are Vivitar 24 f.2.8 and Pentax 50 1.4. The P&S is the Canon SD4000 IS for backup. The shoulder bag is a Maxpedition. Completely customizable. This one has the heavy duty padded shoulder strap and the small green attachment that both primes fit in. It attaches to the shoulder strap. On the left is my light weight kit with the Km and the Sigma 28-105 that uses the small bag and goes on my chest with a harness for skiing shots. Maxpedition has an incredible variety of bags and attachments.

I will have to look into Maxpedition, looks like a good product. Thanks for sharing.

Next?! Remember that this is not the previous thread we had about your photography equipment, just the stuff you would normally take with you and what you would carry it in. Right now the Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 and most of my stuff stays in the apartment, the normal kits are the DL with FA 28-105mm in the lunch box bag and the K20D with the grip, the two WR lenses and the FA 35mm in the Lowepro Nova 3.

Oops, just ordered the bag I have always wanted, the Domke F2 in sand colour. Got a decent deal so my shooting kit will migrate from the Nova 3 to the Domke no doubt.
