Default Some bird shots

well, have had a perfect weather today, quite warm and a perfectly blue sky...just wanted to share some pix of a bird that was quite a friendly target

Very nice! The only thing I can see wrong is that you have lots of clear, blue water. That should be in Southern California - not the over foot of white stuff we have at the moment.

well, it started to get warm last week, then it snowed alot yesterday and now it is warm again , or warmer might be a better word (4-8 degrees Celsius)

A lovely series - really captures the action and the details. Looks like what folks on our east coast call a Laughing Gull. Is it some similar species?

thanks! Yes it is a laughing gull, we don't have alot of birds yet so right now it is these birds and some ordinary seagulls as well...
But we do have hawk and eagles and such, but they don't come forward when I am there to shot them :/
But as always, it is fun learning how to properly photograph them do get the most detail out...
I actually thought I got quite a lot of detail even after cropping, and using the 50-300mm DAL lens at maximum focallenght. so i am happy
