Default Time To Garden?

Number 1: View from the back deck. Snow is still on the ground, but sun is finally out and new growth is on the manzanita. Number 2: Must be time to garden. My lady could not stand it. Garden tools, check, sun hat check, down jacket, check. Number 3: Digging deep into the snow. Number 4: The prize. Sun Chokes ready to harvest from the bottom of three feet of snow. Welcome to spring.

Love the pictures, especially the first one! Still looks cold, though, not like spring at all. Hope all your snow melts as fast as ours has (there's still some higher up, but it's all gone at our elevation).

Hi pboerger,

Definitely jealous of the view, but have had more than enough snow for a while, so I even welcome the brownout of early spring. It's a couple of weeks late, and our usual March arrival birds are just starting to move in it seems.

I'm not a gardener, but I know some who are pretty fanatical, and even they would find something very wrong here. . .

Thanks all. The only consolation is that the ski park is staying open an extra week. Other than that, we are DONE with the snow.

brrr. love the first photo, and i definitely understand wanting to garden too early!! ( i had the children in my class plant seeds a couple of weeks ago in little Styrofoam cups to alleviate my itch for gardening...)
