The focus could be tighter, but the subjects are very important to me!

I completely agree. We can split hairs over small details about whether a photo is "perfect." But in the end, if the photo means something and portrays something precious to someone, then it's perfect, regardless of its technical merits.

Another one due in November? Yep, you are doomed. Your photograph collection will double or triple. Or else you'll be too tired to take any for the first couple of months.
