Default Cormorant Portrait

There has been a young Cormorant hanging around Wakodahatchee Wetlands that thinks it is one of us. The bird will land on a railing right next to you and just sit there. Tourists will pose with the Cormorant. It will even land at your feet and hang around a group of people.

Great closeups Ed

I have found them to be fairly comfortable around humans, much more so than most birds. I could get to about 12' Not quite as comfortable as you describe, sounds like fun to was to shoot.

Very nice shots! The first one I ever noticed was hanging around under a pier and I got quite a few pictures, it seemed to not be bothered by my presence.

Wonderful detail and backgrounds just right!

I would guess less then a year, it's feathers will turn darker as it matures.
