Default Purple Martins - Green Heron Nest

In Wakodahatchee there are two bird houses for Purple Martins. They are not positioned where they can be easily photographed. These birds were sitting on top of some Slash Pines near the Green Heron nest I have been following. On the Green Heron Nest, they are gone. It has not been long enough for the chicks to be flying yet. With a Killdeer nest I followed a few years ago the family left the nest area within 24 hours after the last two eggs hatched, to grow up on a baseball field. I hope the Green Herons left on foot by their own desire and nothing bad happened to the chicks. I am not sure about the habits of these birds chicks.
