Mmmmmm I can smell them from here, nothing as beautiful as a Rose, great shots, thanks for sharing them.

What a lovely series - all from your garden?

Especially like the delicate balance of color and DOF on the 2nd pink rose!

Yes - a selection from my wife's extensive collection of roses. It was hard to find decent specimens to photograph due to the inclement weather we have been having over the last several weeks.

It's still an interesting collection of roses, in spite of the lousy weather (and now it's gotten hot). I love the third one (always partial to pink roses) as well as the 4th one. #7 looks all right on my monitor, but the other two in that group don't look as good (as you suggested, my monitor didn't do them justice, though there are things that I like about them). Wish I had your rose garden instead of my single grape vine.

Be careful what you wish for - I am still waiting for the breeders to develop roses without thorns! Lovely to look at, but dangerous to hold.

Stunning images Penolta! The soft muted lighting really brings out the detail and texture in the petals.

Just beautiful, and a wonderful sight for winter-weary eyes.
