Default Tri-colored in Mating Colors

The Tri-colored Heron's bill is normally yellow where the blue color is. The eye is not dark red. This is in the rookery area of Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

Very pretty bird! It's fascinating how birds change colors and feathering throughout the year.
