Default Just barely spring

Opened the cottage after a long winter, one frozen pipe, only a few animals and only a couple of flowers, Oh well got a chance to shoot the new Kr with the DAL 55-300

hnikesch,

Nicely done. My favorite is #1, rich contrast, the second one is kind of estrange with the subject in front out of focus, and the background in focus. I guess you were looking for that, because the flower at the right is facing toward the camera.

Congratulation

Thanks Zuken, it was my first try for flowers with the DAL 55-300, I think I will have to use the Tamron or ext tubes and the SMC M 135

Great composition and detail on the little rabbit! And very nice work on the forsythias.

Must agree with Zuken, having the front violet out of focus distracts me too. I also struggle with which to focus on in situations like that, and of course, DOF is always shallow on the close-ups, especially with a longer lens. Got some surprisingly good results with a 50mm (pentax A f1.4) and extension tubes. Will be interested to see how your 135 behaves with the tubes!
