Default It Can Be Done!!!

For kicks I tried my K5 and Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 with my Kenko Pz-AF 1.5X Teleplus SHQ tele-converter. That's 750mm (1125mm Equivalent). I used it hand held (not advised) and got reasonable results. Surprisingly focus speed is slowed little, even at 500mm. This is a revelation since not even my DA* 50-135 mm F2.8 works with the tele-converter. Pentax has something to learn from this Sigma HSM focus system.

In the photos it appears Egret Chicks are not very patient when hungry.

damn that sounds good - think my kenko tc is a bit before the sdm contacts were in place also a 2x which would push it abit i think) though but might investigate a new 1.5x one just wish pentax would release one with weather sealing to use with my da* lenses
