Default June 2011 Monthly challenge: People do the darndest things.

People do the darndest things.

Now that the weather is getting better (in most places in the northern hemisphere) more people are getting out and when people get out (especially after being cooped up) they can do some unusual things. So you challenge (should you choose to accept it); go out and photograph people doing the “darndest things”. The more “you don’t see that every day” the better.

Kids are people to but lets leave the kids out of this one. Not only do kids do the darndest things all the time so it is a little like shooting fish in a barrel but the darndest things are not always save things.

Same rules as usual: Pentax camera in the last 90 days with the forum size limits.

Here are some examples of people and the darndest things.

Congrats on your win, here is an early entry to keep my place. There is no real snow left but that doesn't stop these guys.

A very fun topic, though it's going to be hard for me. In California "darndest" is the norm, so it's going to be really difficult to find something abnormally outrageous.

Ira, wouldn't snowmobiling where there's no snow be difficult? I would think people would be delighted to garage their machines for the short summer.

in iceland they use snowmobiles as jetski's so if you can use them on water why not without snow =)

Good topic!..I don't take many people photos..if I do it's usually my nephew's football or rugby games. They had the all star game today and I tell you..those rugby players make for some interesting and funny looking shots. When I saw this one for some weird reason..the song "Let's Dance" came to mind...

People photos are a definite weak point for me, hope to improve with some practice...

Not sure if this one qualifies, but one of my sons brought along a kite for our family hike up Roan Mt recently, and nearly everyone had to try it out...

Mole I really like this photo but there is the little clause I added about no kids. But if you like you could just leave it up and let the voters decide if it fits.

Oops – Sorry – My bad. You really captured youth and enthusiasm.

I off today to try and get a (weather allowing) Focke-Wulf in the air along with a Flying Fortress, a Liberator and 2 Mustangs. Either way I will probably get rained on.

Tomorrow I am going to try the Fremont Summer Solstice Parade in Seattle. That is usually good for a “you don’t see that ever day” but I may not be able to post the photos on a forum like this.

After that I have to take the computer into the shop for some upgrades so I will be off the forum for about a week.
