Default Stormy Day during the Plum Rains

I've been very busy at work the last couple of weeks but have some time to spend on here this weekend !

Stormy day here, so all I could do was stand in the porch and look wistfully out .... with my dog at my side wishing she could play ball ! Totally washed out weekend

SMC Takumar 50/1.4 (except #1 with the CZJ Sonnar 135 at f5.6) - all at f1.4 and within 1 metre of my front door ! The hole in the fence is where my dog (Xiao Fei Dao - meaning Small Flying Dagger) chewed a couple of pieces off !

Great shots, I can understand your dog completely, why not trow the ball, she's waterproof.

Looks like you took good advantage of the situation, Kev.
Good looking dog!

Thanks John - yes, very wet weekend, very boring, I guess I looked much like my dog !

Thank you Mtnman ! The Plum Rains are so called in this area of the country (Shanghai and the surrounding provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui) because after they finish the plum crop is ripe and ready to be picked !

Looks a lot like our weather lately. Every time I finally get time and energy and incentive to go out shooting, it rains! Although, we did get up to Maine this past Sunday when the weather was nice. First time in a while, though my timing's been right.

I can just see what Xiao Fei Dao is thinking. Come on, it's just a little water! Let's go play ball.

Great series! Sharp, great color and exposure from that old lens. I like #4 - as if your dog is looking for the rain to clear out.

A wonderful series, love the dog. Amazing how you can come up with photo ideas even under adverse conditions. Summer has started here, rain seems like a distant memory (though it was only a couple of weeks ago).

Patty, sorry your weather has been lousy too. Hope it'll get nice and stay nice for a while.

Lovely to see you back posting Patty ! Yep I think that's exactly what she was thinking .... the rain doesn't bother her in the slightest !

Thanks Jim - I really love that SMC Tak / 1.4, it's a great lense.

Thank you Harriet !
