Really like the story (and shots) Harriet, I would have taken the stuff outside and tried again there because I had to have a close up of those critters.

A few years ago I wouldn't have cared about those little ones, but a few weeks ago I had to dig a tick out off my side and since then my macro shots have been slacking.

Cheers

Ronny

mtngal, some of the best cd's / dvd's to buy are made by Taiyo Yuden, they bought the brand name 'JVC' for retailing CD's and DVD's, some batches of Verbatim and Panasonic dvd's are also sourced from Taiyo Yudemn.

Nice shots of the dandelion by the way

Hey Harriet, you did a great job considering what you had to work with.
I really like the color on the first one!
I recommend the Raynox very highly, you can get some very nice captures with it!
I'm posting these two pics for Penolta, I think they are the same creepy crawlies you have on yours.

Great picture of an aphid, GW. Don't know if they are the same or not, but if they are, there is nothing in Harriet's picture for them to feed on, and aphids don't usually wander on their own.

Hey Pen,
I just thought they looked awfully close and thought it was interesting that they were both taken on a dandelion, that they could be the same critter. But I'll bow to your expertise, you know a lot more about these things than I ever will.
